Resonating with an Ariana Grande vocal presence, Tiana Kocher is an artist to look out for. She first made noise in 2018 with the single “Just My Type”, a sexy R&B jam full of SWV swag. The concept video, which was directed by Ali Zamani, certainly helped with the buzz, especially with its impressive slate of cameo appearances by Marlon Wayans, Rob Schneider and Brely Evans. Since then, she’s worked with TLC and Faith Evans, and opened for A$AP Rocky in Manila and even had her music featured in a Ciroc commercial. After sharing time between her homeland in the Philippines and Los Angeles honing her songwriting craft during the pandemic, Kocher is now working on her forthcoming sophomore album, which is due out this year. “Westside” is the lead single from the project.
