Koffee Collaborates With Vevo On Lift Series Performances

30 Wednesday Mar 2022

Koffee’s third and final performance in her LIFT series, “Runaway”, which is taken from her album “Gifted”, was posted on Vevo, the world’s top music video network. In 2019, Koffee debuted on Vevo as a Vevo DSCVR artist, performing the singles “Toast” and “Raggamuffin.” Vevo and Koffee worked closely together to use projection, light and set design in a neutral yet elegant venue to draw inspiration from the images and aesthetics of the West Indies. The photograph, which was taken in a townhouse in central London, was intended to depict Koffee’s energy and positivity while she was surrounded by her band and gospel choir. The film attempted to toy with the audience’s perception of space, demonstrating that the West Indies is more than just a geographical location, but also a vibe, feeling and power that pervades its people’s spirits. Check out her live performance of “Runaway” below.

Vince Staples Returns With The Single Rose Street

30 Wednesday Mar 2022

Vince Staples just released the single “Rose Street”, which is taken from his forthcoming album “Ramona Park Broke My Heart”, due out on April 8th. Earlier this month, Staples released the video “Magic.” The video, which was directed by Prettybird’s Kenten, comprises a series of one take images with camera movement that depict Vince’s day from a surrealist perspective, allowing the audience to perceive everything around him as if they were an observer. “Magic”, which was produced by Mustard, is a celebration of how Staples overcame the inner city blues and a system that was supposed to keep him enmeshed in the adversity he grew up in. “Ramona Park Broke My Heart” is the follow up to his critically acclaimed 2021 self titled album, which introduced fans to his homeland as well as intimate friends and family. Listen to “Rose Street” below.

This song is the property of Blacksmith Recordings/Motown Records.
