Singer/songwriter/producer/musician Jay King just released the album “Soull Bossanova.” The lead single, “Baby Let’s Dance Tonight”, has the trademarks of the music made popular by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sergio Mendez; namely a percussive swing, a touch of jazz improvisation and romantic themes and settings. While King’s remix maintains the storyline of a man working to lead an attractive lady to a night of dancing and hopefully an evening of romance, the arrangement is more a fusion of1970s funk infused dance music. Either way, “Baby Let’s Dance Tonight” is a song that will transport the listener back to a special place. Listen to “Baby Let’s Dance Tonight” below.
