Dennis Taylor is an American singer from Brooklyn, New York. Taylor released several albums in the early 2000s via the London based Dome label, including 2003’s “In The Mood.” The title track is a stepper’s cut that found Taylor using a husky baritone to tell a woman about all the romantic plans he has to ensure that she gets and stays, well, in the mood. The song received a lush Philly soul infused makeover thanks to a remix by producer Nigel Lowis. The remix captures the sophisticated essence of the music made famous by Philadelphia International Records, right down to the interplay between the brass and strings. It’s a track that will take you back. Listen to “In The Mood” below.
