inGrammy-nominated producer Dot Da Genius assembled the team of Kid Cudi, Denzel Curry and JID for the new single “Talk About Me”, which is supported by a Cole Bennett-directed music video. Ready to show the world his distinctively creative sound, Dot Da Genius blankets an ethereal and psychedelic instrumental over the star-studded trio’s punchy verses. The black-and-white visual displays a wonderland that stars Cudi wrapped in a Louis Vuitton space suit performing in a mirror-laced room, while Denzel Curry and JID stroll through an animated recording studio. Dot Da Genius is best known for the development of Kid Cudi’s signature sound, which made him the most influential artist of our generation. Together, the duo is fresh off executive producing the third chapter of Kid Cudi’s Man On The Moon series, which was released in 2020, and scoring the soundtrack to Cudi’s forthcoming animated Netflix series Entergalactic premiering in September. As the alternative rock duo WZRD, Cudi and Genius released their self-titled debut album in 2012, which spawned the single “Teleport Me, Jamie.” “Talk About Me” marks Dot’s second solo release following his 2018 debut single “Fettuccine” featuring Tunji Ige, Fat Tony and Price. The new single comes on the verge of Kid Cudi’s forthcoming “To The Moon” world tour featuring Dot, Denzel Curry, Don Toliver, 070 Shake and Strick. Kid Cudi appears on the song and in the visual courtesy of Republic Records. JID appears courtesy of Dreamville/Interscope Records. Denzel Curry appears courtesy of PH Recordings. “Talk To Me” is available on all digital streaming platforms via HeadBanga Muzik Group. Watch the “Talk To Me” video below.

inReggae legend Buju Banton returns to the airwaves with the single “Madda Badda.” A prelude to the Grammy-winner’s forthcoming album, the J. August-produced track mixes dancehall rhythms and contemporary sounds with the hardcore lyricism that brought him to prominence in the 90s. For Banton, “Madda Badda” is meant to revitalize the traditional dancehall sound Jamacia is known for. This track comes as a respite amid public concerns that the quality of dancehall music has waned. Proving that dancehall songs can be simple, meaningful, and dispelling the idea that artists must compromise one for the other. Banton’s latest release follows his exciting 2021 run, which included the release of three new singles. The forthcoming album marks his first in two years, since his 2020 albums “Steppaz Riddim”, “Upside Down” and the 25th anniversary edition of the 1995 classic “Til Shiloh.” Listen to “Madda Badda” below.

inMuni Long officially has new music on the way. Fresh off her appearance at the 2022 BET Awards, the rising star shared on Monday (June 27) that she’s readying the release of her fifth EP.
Titled Public Displays of Affection Too, the five-track project will be released Friday via Supergiant/Def Jam Recordings as a sequel of sorts to last year’s Public Displays of Affection and will contain songs including the previously released “Pain,” “Cartier” and brand-new Saweetie collaboration “Baby Boo.”
The in-demand songwriter-turned-solo artist also shared a peek at the EP’s sultry cover art on her Instagram account – depicting her sitting in the bathtub with her arms wrapped around her knees as she stares plaintively up at the ceiling, a glass of champagne half-drunk beside her.
One night before revealing the forthcoming EP, Long took the stage at the 2022 BET Awards to perform her breakout hit “Hrs and Hrs,” which earned Def Jam its first No. 1 on Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart since 2016. (The slow jam also gave Long the first top 20 hit of her solo career by peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.)
Earlier this month, Long — who’s penned hits with the likes of Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and others — also dropped “Honey,” her soulful new collab with John Legend. The sweet and sticky duet served as the second preview from Legend’s upcoming yet-untitled eighth studio album, following the J.I.D.-assisted “Dope.” “Public Displays Of Affection Too” will be released on Friday. Check out the cover art below.
