Singers Ricky Jones and Shireen Crutchfield met and became friends while signed to Motown Records as recording artists. Jones was a member the R&B group Yours Truly, while Crutchfield was a member of the R&B trio The Good Girls. When their Motown stint ended their life circle changed directions career wise with Jones recording several solo albums and Crutchfield getting into modeling and acting. Twenty years later, after dissolved marriages, Ricky and Shireen circled back to rekindle their friendship that blossomed into marriage, fueled by their adoration of music’s magnetic power. Their new chapter as recording artists began with the single “Queen Appeal”, weaving inspiration from Babyface and Sade. They return with the ballad “Cloudy”, which is taken from the album “Welcome To The Crutchfield Project.” The storyline flows from the cloudy side of marriages, while instilling hope that the sunny side holds up. Enjoy.
