Marvin Gaye had scored several solo hits for Motown records and recorded duets with Mary Wells and Kim Weston before he was paired with newcomer Tammi Terrell. The pair went to have such hits as “Ain’t No Moutain High Enough”, “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing”, “Your Precious Love” and “If This World Were Mine.” Timeless classics that will live on.
2 Peaches & Herb

Peaches & Herb rose to prominence following the release of the single “Let’s Fall In Love.” They went on to score more hits including “Close Your Eyes” before the hits dried up. They resurfaced during the 1970s where they went on to have such hits as “Shake Your Groove Thing”, “Reunited” and “I Pledge My Love.”

Nicholas Ashford & Valerie Simpson worked at Motown Records as songwriters/producers where they penned such hits as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing”, “Your Precious Love” and “If I Could Build My World Around You” for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. They left the label and signed with Warner Bros. Records where they scored such hits as “Don’t Cost You Nothing”, “Send It”, “It Seems To Hang On” and “Found A Cure.”

Cavin Yarbrough and Alisa Peoples met as children and have been inseparable ever since. The pair signed with Total Experience Records in the 1980s where they went on to have such hits as “Don’t Stop The Music”, “Heartbeat”, “I Wouldn’t Lie” and “Guilty.”
