Forty years into an iconic recording career, and singer Angie Stone thought her recording days were over, even as she successfully tours the world. Last year, Stone was approached by SoNo Recording Group about working on a new album, a recognition by the label that fans still want to hear from the artist. Stone just released the second sneak peek from her forthcoming album, a collaboration with fellow artist Musiq Soulchild titled “The Gym.” Written and produced by Walter Millsap, Elye Franklin, Balewa Muhammad, Candice C. Nelson and Teak Underdue, “The Gym” uses fitness world terminology has metaphors to tell the tale of a woman who is ready to leave a relationship that isn’t working.
