Singer/songwriter Acantha Lang returns with her new single “Come Back Home.” The song is brilliantly produced with the kind of full-bodied arrangement that recalls classic Stax Records of the 70’s. The song is taken from her forthcoming debut album “Beautiful Dreams”, due out this summer. Enjoy.
Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar have returned with new music. Yesterday, the duo released a VHS style visual for their latest collaboration, “The Hillbilles”, which shows outtakes from their time on tour together and features a cameo appearance from Tyler, the Creator. Produced by Evilgiane, the West Coast duo perform their best ping-pong impression over the 2020 Bon Iver sampled “PDLIF.” Going back and forth, Keem and Lamar take heavy swings, aiming for pure demolition. Directed by Neal Farmer, Keem and Lamar clown around on a private jet, a shopping mall and later outside Dodger Stadium with Tyler, the Creator. “The Hillbillies” is the latest reunion between Keem and Lamar, who previously joined forces on the singles “Range Brothers” and “Family Ties.” Both tracks appear on Keem’s 2021 effort, “The Melodic Blue.” For Lamar, this is his second verse in the same number of weeks after appearing on Beyonce’s “America Has A Problem (Remix).” The surprise release marked Lamar and Bey’s third collaboration, including Bey’s 2016 single “Freedom” and their 2019 Lion King soundtrack song “Nile.” Aside from flexing his honorary Beyhive status, he also shouted out Billboard magazine for making their Greatest Rappers Of All Time list. Watch the “The Hillbillies” video below.
Singer Maeta has a blossoming career due to the effort she puts into her work. Almost Healedpops off as his most personal, engaging, and enigmatic project to date. Laced with bold bangers and introspective anthems alike, it highlights his undeniable melodies and incisive bars at the forefront. He not only shines solo on the likes of “Never Again,” but he also distinguishes himself as the rare chameleonic force who can collaborate with country superstar Morgan Wallen on “Stand By Me” or the late Juice WRLD on “Cross The Globe.”
R&B veteran Alexander O’Neal is working on his Farewell Tour, and he’s doing it in style, with the EP “Is This Seat Taken”, which is some of his strongest music in years. A few weeks ago, O’Neal released the title track. Now, he returns with the single “The One For Me”, co-written by Darnell Alexander and Mike Vangen. The song is a dancefloor jam with hooks for days. And O’Neal sounds convincing as he tells his woman he’s giving up all others to focus on her. Listen to “The One For Me” below.
